આ નાટકની મૂળ ભાષા અંગ્રેજી છે. જેમાં નાયિકાને દારૂ પીને મારતો , કામકાજ વગરનો નાયક પતિ જોડે જઘડો થાય છે. અને કાયમની જેમ નાયક ફરી નાયિકાને મારતો હોય છે. જઘડાનો અંત આવતા નાયક ત્યાંથી ચાલ્યો જાય છે. ત્યારે નાયિકા પોતાના પતિની પોતાની સાથેની ગેરવર્તણૂક બદલ બદલો લેવાનું નક્કી કરે છે. તે બદલો કેવી રીતે લે છે તે આ નાટકની કથા બને છે.
