પ્રસ્તુત નાટક હાસ્યરસથી ભરપૂર કૃતિ છે. બાપ - દિકરા દ્વારા વાપરવામાં આવેલ એક ટુચકો , હાસ્યના ફુવારાની સાથે ગેરસમજણની ભરમાળ ઊભી કરી મૂકે છે.એક બાપ જે પોતાની પત્નિનો પ્રેમ મેળવવા અને ઘરમાં શાંતિ લાવવા અંગે દીકરાને ફરિયાદ કરે છે ત્યારે દીકરો પોતે એક નકલી પ્રેમપત્ર લખી , અવાસ્તવિક પ્રેમિકાનું પાત્ર ઊભું કરે છે.જે અચાનક એક સમયે વાસ્તવિક બનીને ઘરને આંગણે આવીને ઊભી રહે છે . ત્યાર બાદ ઊભી થતી અઢળક ગૂંચવણો વાંચકોને ભરપૂર હાસ્ય પૂરું પાડે છે.
